Nursing Research Grant

m Bookmark and Share

The ANF Nursing Research Grants Program was founded almost 60 years ago to encourage the research career development of nurses. This program continues to grow with contributions for nursing research, from organizations and individuals. These donations support scientific research for advancing the practice of nursing, promoting health and preventing disease.

Each year, the American Nurses Foundation recruits experienced research-focused reviewers to assist the Foundation by critiquing research grant proposals. Committee members critique and score research proposals and recommend allocation of funds to grantees. Terms for reviewers and committee members are for three years.

Call for Reviewers

The online application to apply to be a Nursing Research Grant Reviewer will be available December 1. The deadline to complete your application is February 28, 2015.

Through our Nursing Research Grants program, ANF provides funds to beginner and experienced nurse researchers to conduct studies that contribute toward the advancement of nursing science and the enhancement of patient care. The grant application process will open on February 1, 2015 and all applications must be completed by 11:59 p.m. on May 1, 2015.

A new feature of the American Nurses Foundation’s program is support for clinically based research. To support improving the quality of care provided in clinical settings and the integral role nurses play in designing better care, the Foundation will fund studies of systematic, data-guided activities designed to bring about improvement in healthcare delivery funded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and Stryker Medical.
