ANF Vice President Rose Constantino, PhD, JD, RN, FAAN, FACFE gave a touching speech to the delegates, addressing the work of the Foundation over the last year, including the over $250,000 raised to aid nurses affected by Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
The special Anne Zimmerman Luncheon, co-sponsored with Illinois Nurses Association, raised $3250 towards the Zimmerman Endowment. The Foundation was happy to host the Zimmerman family along with 30 guests for the tribute.
The Motown Dance Party Featuring Karaoke Revue was the place to be Saturday night bringing in $5875. Guests flashed their backstage passes then, enjoyed the karaoke groups performing Motown songs, including My Girl, Stop in the Name of Love, Heat Wave, Shout, and more! Guests were dressed in boas and sequins! And, even a special appearance from the President of the Royal School of Nursing!
And, the 4th Annual Silent Auction- The OutBID increased revenues 14% from last year raising $13,000. A West Wing script signed by Martin Sheen, unique baskets and crafts from the states, a Peter Max poster and special American flag were the highlight items!
ANF raised $28,000 over the three days in support of the programs of research and education that make ANF unique in the nursing profession!
