The American Nurses Association (ANA) expresses its deepest sympathy and ongoing support to the people of the Philippines following the devastating typhoon that has left the country in a state of emergency.

“Our hearts go out to the Filipino people during this time of terrible tragedy,” said ANA President Karen A. Daley, PhD, RN, FAAN, who has expressed her concern directly to the president of the Philippine Nurses Association.

At this juncture, the most effective response is financial support. ANA encourages its members and concerned health professionals to support the people of the Philippines with donations through the American Nurses Foundation’s (ANF) Disaster Relief Fund. The Foundation, in partnership with the Philippine Nurses Association of America, is currently accepting donations to provide aid and assistance to the people of the Philippines who have been impacted by this disaster.

Individuals can designate support for “Disaster Relief” via their online donation form. The American Nurses Foundation is the charitable and philanthropic arm of ANA.
