The American Nurses Foundation (ANF) set the pace by spearheading a fundraising initiative, InSTEP with NURSES - a fun program to keep fit while supporting ANF's good work for nurses.

This spring, in honor of National Nurses Week 2008, ANF challenged staff to register and walk during a 4-week campaign, from April 15—May 13, to raise funds, to exercise and to get the InSTEP word out!

Participants wore bright yellow InSTEP with NURSES t-shirts when walking and received generous sponsorship from colleagues, friends and family. Some walkers measured by steps and others by 1 or 2 miles courses. Whatever path taken, each walker was successful in fundraising while meeting personal goals.
